Windy Pendejos Feature: Nick Vatterott

Nick Vatterott:

Nick Vatterott moved to Chicago in 2002 to pursue comedy in hopes that some day, fingers
crossed, he could break into the waiting tables business. Until that dream manifests itself,
Nick has performing every ounce of comedy that he can get his hands and elbows on. Based out
of Chicago (the city that never stops issuing parking tickets), the past seven years have led to
the incredible opportunity to perform comedy all over the world in places such as Mexico,
Canada, Barbados, Turkey, and the seas of the Mediteranean. Nick has performed improv at

The iO Theater
, The Playground Theater, The Toronto Improv Festival, D.C.Comedy Fest, the
Philadelphia Improv Festival and NYC’s The Del Close Marathon at The Upright Citizen’s
Brigade Theater
. His Sketch group HEAVYWEIGHT has performed at The Chicago Sketch
Fest
, D.C. Comedy Fest, and at The Second City’s ‘Unhinged’. Nick’s stand-up has been seen at
clubs, theaters and colleges all over the country including
Chicago Underground Comedy,
Zanies, The Improv, Cracker’s, The Throckmorton Theater, D.C. Comedy Fest, The New
Orleans Comedy Festival, The Comedy Central Stage
, Rififi, as well as P.J.’s Comedy Club in
Puerto Vallarta and
Old City Comedy Club in Istanbul. Nick has performed his one man show
NO OUTLET at the iO Theater, The Playground Theater, and The Chicago Sketch Fest all in
Chicago,
The Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater in Manhattan, New York and The iO West
Theater
in Hollywood, California. Nick has portrayed dozens of characters in plays such as
Brain Humor at the Donny’s Skybox theater, Romeo Jeans at the Stage Left Theater and Love
is Dead
at the Annoyance Theater.  Nick Vatterott has been an understudy for The Second
City
‘s national touring company as well as their main stage. He has also worked for The Second
City on Norwegian Cruise Lines performing sketch, improv and stand-up off the coasts of
Alaska, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Africa. Aside from
My Humble Opinion, a weekly column
that ran in
The Maneater at the University of Missouri, his jokes and writings have appeared
in
Chicago Magazine, Dig This magazine and Reader’s Digest. Nick has written for MTV’s
spring break special
What was I thinking? and is currently searching for a publisher for the
book he has written called
How Not To Buy A Volkeswagon Bus. Nick thanks anyone has ever
given him the opportunity to tell a joke to the people, and even more thanks to the people who
allowed him to tell them one.  Nick also loves to write in the third person. Please click on the
website below to read more self boasting nick vatterott propaganda including when
Chicago
